Customized Basic Tools & Insert Tool Units Can Be Used With Standard Presses
We Provide The Tooling System, You Provide The Press For Efficient, Economical Bar Shearing Applications.
Folam Tool Co., Inc. will specify the required press tonnage and shutheight for all tools or tool units designed for your shearing application.
Large Lot Production. The basic tools and insert tool units can be used for shearing with any hydraulic or mechanical press, new or used, having the required tonnage and shutheight.
Small Lot Production. The basic tool and insert tool units can be used for shearing parts in the range of 50 to 500 pieces, with economical presses such as Dake or Cole-Tuve, etc.
Complete Automated Systems. A J. F. Berns Bundle Loader is used with Folam's bar positioning system to feed 24 ft. bars or less into the shear. Fork lift or crane load bundles. No lifting. No loading of bars.
Cycle time 20 ft. steel bar 3.5 mins. to feed, gage, shear 6 in. long slugs, 40 pieces
